A modern person, even in everyday life, can face more than 300 diseases caused by worms, and the total proportion of parasitic infections worldwide exceeds 75%.Even observing the rules of home hygiene and avoiding obvious dangers - raw meat and eggs, water from untested sources - we can become infected with helminths.Once in the body, they multiply rapidly, releasing toxic waste, affecting the intestines and often the liver, muscles, lungs and other organs.
Helminths are dangerous because they “damage” the functioning of the immune system and other systems, absorb micro and macro elements vital for humans and inhibit the intestinal flora.The body is very vulnerable to infections, inflammation and worsening of chronic diseases.Therefore, you need to combat helminth infestation as soon as you suspect it.
There may be different forms of helminths in the human body and their signs (symptoms) also differ.Most often the body is affected by:
- nematodes related to roundworms are pinworms, roundworms, trichinellas, whipworms, etc., which cause enterobiasis;
- flat cestode (ribbon) worms - echinococci, all types of tapeworms;
- Trematodes are very dangerous worms, the residues of which are poisonous (like those of nematodes), and they themselves cause schistomiasis, opisthorchiasis and other serious diseases that chemical medicines cannot always combat.
The first two groups of worms cause predominantly intestinal diseases, the third can cause extraintestinal diseases.For example, opisthorchiasis is caused by trematodes that live in the bile ducts.Therefore, diseases caused by helminths manifest themselves with extremely broad symptoms.
The main symptoms of helminthic infestation
Penetrating into the body, helminths multiply and their different forms are simultaneously present in the body - cysts, larvae, adults.Pharmaceutical medicines act on them selectively and do not provide a comprehensive effect.Therefore, the sooner treatment is started, the lower the risk of damage to the body.
The first sign of large-scale invasion is vomiting, profuse salivation and attacks of pain localized in the abdominal cavity.They are characteristic of infection with roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, diphyllobothriasis, trichocephalosis, strongyloidiasis.In addition, helminths cause attacks of nausea in the morning, an uncontrollable feeling of hunger or, conversely, a deterioration in appetite and an unmotivated craving for sweets.
Manifestations are most often accompanied by abnormal stools (constipation alternating with diarrhea), abdominal distension and flatulence.When infected with Giardia, severe diarrhea occurs.At least some of these symptoms are reason to see a doctor immediately, as they may be signs of intestinal obstruction.
Another characteristic manifestation of infection with almost all types of worms is hive-like rashes.Its occurrence is associated with a reaction to toxic waste from worms.Based on the location of the rash, doctors make a diagnosis—infestation with hookworms, schistosomes, or other helminths.Subcutaneous nodules indicate infection with pork tapeworm and roundworms.
Other signs of helminth damage to the body:
- roundworms, in addition to the above symptoms, can be suspected by a paroxysmal dry cough (as in bronchitis), blurred vision, enlarged lymph nodes;
- pinworms cause itching in the anus and external genitalia, worsening at night;
- signs of infection with schistosomes, lamblia, trematodes - weakness, chills, fever, blood in the urine, pain in the liver;
- the disease with toxoplasmosis, pulmonary toxocariasis, is indicated by impaired vision and speech;
- hookworms cause coughing, trichinella and echinococcus cause severe muscle pain, pork tapeworm causes incoordination, epileptic seizures, etc.
With a large-scale or “advanced” infection, hair begins to fall out, nails become brittle and layered.Children, due to a lack of microelements (they are absorbed by helminths) and poisoning with toxic products, experience nervousness, causeless crying, hyperactivity and inability to concentrate.
The harm caused to the body by worms is indicated by frequent colds, anemia, exacerbation of chronic diseases, prolonged headaches, a feeling of persistent fatigue and irritability.These symptoms are associated with suppression of the immunoprotective function of worms and, like others, require a comprehensive diagnosis.
Diagnosis of helminthiasis
Doctors use several methods to identify helminth infestations.The main one is bacterioscopy, analysis of feces by scraping at the entrance to the anus.This is a simple and quick method, but it only detects helminths that have laid eggs near the anus.Males, for example, will not be revealed by scraping, but in general, this is a very informative way of detecting enterobiasis.
Stool microscopy is more effective: it detects Giardia cysts and eggs of other helminths (but not pinworms).To increase the accuracy of diagnosis, stool analysis carried out three times, with an interval of one to three days, or an enrichment technique, used by several laboratories, helps.However, for common roundworms, even this analysis is ineffective.They settle mainly in the small intestine and are rarely found in feces.
Enzyme immunoassay of venous blood allows you to identify helminths using antibodies, with the help of which the body reacts to parasites.For each form of worms, a separate study must be carried out.The presence of active helminths is indicated by a level of eosinophils three to four times higher than normal, and contact with them is indicated by an excess of two times the permissible limit.These tests detect extraintestinal helminthiases, but the doctor must have good reasons to prescribe them.
Modern diagnostic methods are computer and bioresonance.It allows you to identify about 20 types of worms.Voll diagnostics and other methods are also used.However, we cannot speak of its 100% effectiveness.Therefore, the best solution is to focus on the treatment and especially the prevention of helminthiasis.
Antiparasitic complexes for the prevention and treatment of helminthiasis
It's impossible to protect yourself 100% from worms and tests don't give a complete picture of what's going on.Therefore, in order not to face dangerous manifestations of infections and diseases caused by helminths, it is necessary to undergo a course of therapy aimed at removing their forms from the body, compensating for the damage they cause and restoring health.Several medications and complexes against parasites have been developed, the action of which is to eliminate, returning the body's functions to normal levels without the medicinal shock inherent to chemical drugs.
Products rich in natural bitters, antiseptics, micro and macro elements have a cumulative effect without causing side effects.Taking medications provides:
- cleaning of more than 150 types of helminths;
- restoration of immunity, normal intestinal microflora - worms will no longer be able to reproduce in it;
- replenish the supply of microelements - their deficiency provokes a large number of diseases, including malignant tumors and cirrhosis;
- restoration of the normal functioning of all organs - manifestations of allergies, mycoses, candidiasis are reduced, the body's well-being and resistance to negative environmental factors are improved.
For prevention, therapy should be carried out twice a year, taking all medications in the complex twice a day, one capsule.The standard duration of a course of anthelmintic medications is at least one month.But the final time for taking medications should only be prescribed by a specialist.
